Spanish lesson #212: In the last class I showed how to conjugate the Spanish verb HABER which is used as an auxiliary verb in the same cases as we use the aux. verb TO HAVE in English. But HABER may also mean TO BE when used like THERE IS, THERE ARE, THERE WAS, THERE WERE, THERE WILL BE, THERE WOULD BE, etc.

Ex. 1: Hay mucha comida (There is a lot of food).

Ex. 2: Mañana habrá mucha gente (Tomorrow there will be many people).
